Essential cover / Premier cover
The Bupa Malta Private Hospital Plans provide fast access to participating hosiptals in Malta. Eligible in-patient treatment costs are paid direct by Bupa Malta.
The plans also offer a wide choice of options, so you can really be in control of your own and your family’s health.
Both levels of cover are designed to cover you in Malta for specialist treatment for a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries. However different benefit limits apply according to the terms and conditions of the plan.
Essential cover
Provides full refund of all eligible in-patient and day case treatment costs in participating hospitals and clinics in Malta, together with home nursing following in-patient treatment up to the policy maxima.
Premier cover
Provides full refund of all eligible in-patient and day case treatment costs in participating hospitals and clinics in Malta with generous cover for specialist out-patient fees, home nursing, convalescent costs, prescribed drugs, emergency dental treatment and ambulance charges.
Wherever possible, treatment should be received in a Bupa Malta network hospital. Please call Bupa Malta first on 21 342 342. We can normally arrange direct settlement with these participating hospitals. Unless otherwise agreed with the participating hospital, the direct settlement facility applies only for in-patient treatment or day-case treatment. Should a member choose to receive treatment from a non participating hospital, Bupa Malta will still pay the customary and reasonable fees for any eligible treatment.
